Level of my participation

Securon company provides innovative protection service for flats/houses/offices. Idea of in monitoring suspicious event before it happened. But if intrusion happened anyway then it is necessary to get a details immediately. And for this purpose alarm system sends to Securon application just recorded video fragment from the object. Then operator of monitoring centre analyzes it and decides if it is dangerous. Securon application is integrated with several types of alarm systems. The VideoFied company produces reliable wireless equipment which sends video fragments to Central Monitoring Station.

It does not require local hard disks (which can be disconnected or stolen) and works with any type of Internet connection: LAN / WiFi / GSM. It does not allow direct connect to cameras, it only sends video when object was armed and event happened.

Our cooperation started from fixes and improvements of first version of application. It was created about 10 years ago and for that time technologies were obsolete (ASP.NET). One more important thing was in data structure. It changed a lot from first raw requirements and we decided fully rewritte system to latest technologies (ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, Entity Framework, LINQ). Database was migrated from PostgreSql to MS SQL. All data was exported from old database into new one.

Prototype of idea for improve quality of government services. When client got service from some offline government service, he can leave feedback. It will be bound to service provider (person) and service type received. System collects statistic and shows it in graphical representation. Technologies: ASP.NET MVC, MS SQL, Linq, Ajax, jQuery, JavaScript, Bootstrap.

Application imports data from source files with different structures into a database. Then it allows selecting records by filters and export records to an output file. Technologies: ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ, JavaScript, jQuery.

XSunt company provides solution for hospitals what allows to estimate worker's salary by new payment model, when salary depends on tasks completed. Data about work hours provided as source and shows changes in salary if there will be new model used. Then employee can compare it with current salary and decide if it will be more profitable to switch to the new payment model.

Application for consumption calculation and redistribute losses in electric network of Dofinovka summer community. Community has own electric network with high voltage lines, transformers, low-voltage lines and counters. There are some loses exist in the lines. Transformers "eats" some electricity as well for own needs. But someone should pay for it. Who are and how much? This applications distributes loses between consumers proportionally accorded to their usage or by other algorithms.

"Dofinium" LMS (learning management system) allows to organize the learning process remotely, partially or fully. Teaching and learning can be in a convenient time and from any place where exists a computer with Internet.

EterioShop (http://eterioshop.info) is a platform for creating internet shops with possibility to sell retail items or wholesale packages. It supports extended attributes for apparel and shoes: allows to set color/size of items, specify their quantity. Allows to create "wholesale pack" item which includes several items with specific color and size. Shopping cart, order processing, search, tops.

Chat application with administrative features, simple analog of ICQ (old messenger, like a Skype or Viber):
-Multithreaded client and server application;

Simple message board, has 2 levels catalog's structure. Allows to add/edit/find/show ad with text and attached files. Allows to subscribe to specified categories for immediately notification about new ads. I created it just for portfolio and shy to show it now because there is really poor functionality and design... But it works extremely fast. There used stored procedures for all database operations.

I started to develop automated regression tests for biggest Netherland's auction http://marktplaats.nl (owned by Ebay) in 2007 year. We used Mercury QTP for that time, but later we have moved to an excellent Open-source project Selenium RC, Java and Eclipse IDE. It was full time job and I participated in test-framework development and implemented some tests as well. Team had 7 members. Later I was just a programmer of applications (software developer) and participated in automated tests development as freelancer, just occasionally. Selenium RC can be used for data-mining as well and some projects were completed for this purpose. All other projects except marktplaats.nl were developed by me alone. Some projects were created for customers and some just for a portfolio or due to interest.

"ТОМ" company (http://tom.odessa.ua) produces high precision weighing machines - comparators. This weighing machine remembers ethalon mass of some thing and compare it with mass of test thing. It makes several measurements and provides recommendations how mass of test thing should be improved. It stores into local database all actions and provides confirmation number for "mass is correct" cases. Comparator software connected to comparator Analog Digital Converter through Bluetooth for avoid cord influence.

"ТОМ" company (http://tom.odessa.ua) produces equipment for measure mass of sea containers. It is not a special device, but container for trucks with additional software, what has fields, specific for containers. Program allows to create documents and reports.
Technologies: C#, Windows Forms, MS SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures. My participation: development of this module and integration to application for mass measurement of trucks, deployment and support.

"ТОМ" company (http://tom.odessa.ua) produces weighing equipment for mass measure of trucks. There are few cycles: to measure mass of empty car, load it by product (other cars come within this period), then measure mass of loaded car. Then it is possible to calculate mass of product. There can be also other direction, when cars unload product to warehouse. Program read mass sensor's signal via ADC and converts it to mass. Operator should fill parameters of car on weighing machine and info about product. When mass became stable, program allows to measure mass. Program allows to create reports just for one car or for time period.
There are few user's roles (to see reports; to measure mass, to manage users; to change any settings). Program can be integrated with a discrete device. It might be, for example lamp, sound system or even transporter.
Program allows to send information to tableau as well.
This program was migrated from obsolete version of application (created on Borland Delphi). But because it is incompatible, it was just fully rewritten by me. My participation:
-task specification development;
-programming;
-deployment on customer side, testing and debugging;
-documentation;
-integration with digital mass sensors HBM C16i (http://hbm.de);
-some features has been added by user requests: to fix time period when car came to scale and moves out of scale;
-possibility to make different reports for specific customers.

Driver was created for a "ТОМ" company (http://tom.odessa.ua). It allows to configure new sensors (to assign logical address). There was used different calibration model, when coefficient's table loaded into memory of sensors. In analogue ADC what was used before, we had this table in software application and to make it obvious for users and flexible in settings, we decided to use current model (coefficients in application). In usual conditions, driver receives mass as digital value from HBM C16i sensors and transforms it to mass values by coefficient's table. This driver was integrated into exists TOM software (automobile weighing machines, railway carriage weighing machine applications) so current applications can use digital sensors now. For railway carriage weighing machine there also implemented high-speed mode for mass measurement right in train movement via weighing platform.

"ТОМ" company (http://tom.odessa.ua) produces weighing equipment for measure mass of railway carriages. These scales might be used in static or dynamic modes. Static mode requires to set carriage to weighing machine, wait until mass will be stabilized and measure mass of it. Dynamic mode allows to measure mass when train just moving through scales. Dynamic mode is not so precisious as static but much faster and good enough for ship-unloading mode. Program allows creating reports.

My participation:
partial participation. Application was developed earlier but significantly improved by me:
-specific versions of applications with different set of fields and reports were implemented by customer requests;
-report system was migrated from an expansive and obsolete Crystal Reports to OpenOffice format;
-adaptation to new railway laws and requirements;
-integration with HBM C16i digital mass sensor driver;
-critical fixes in mass measure algorithm in movement;
-improvement of dynamic mode. Now it allows to measure mass in movement and fill parameters of carriages immediately (carriage number, sender, recipient, etc). Before it was required to make step by step - only when whole train will be measured;
-integration with video recognition system (carriage's number recognition);
-integration with high level enterprise software for export data about mass of carriages;
- documentation development, programming, deployment, testing and debugging.

I am originaly from Ukraine. Moved to USA in 2018 year. Sorry for poor English... It is what it is ;-)

I started to use computer in about 1989 year. It was Sinclar ZX-Spectrum, which father bought me (thank you, dad). My life changed significantly from that time. There was a lot of games and even that old computer showed what it can win. To chees, pool or races. But I did want to win as well. And occasionally found a magazine with "How to win a game" page. There was described something like "In this game there is back counter of lives. It starts from 3 and when it is 0, you are loser. But we can remove substractor and you will have 3 lives always". It was a miracle :-). I found what usual games where we can see first-second-third level only really have 20 levels and some Congratulations with video effects at the end. I am not sure if here in the world really a lot of people who can win these games without cheat codes. I tried a lot and was far away from end. Well, so I started to "fix" games to be able win. It was a hobby, just for me and friends. But later I found a company what did sell games (they had biggest collection) and asked, maybe they have some job for me. And yes, they had a lot. I "fixed" disk with 8-10 games for 2 dollars... :-) But I need only 10-15 minutes for one game. So I made good money for that time. There were not just "cracker's" tasks. This company made own version of ZX-Spectrum, named Pelikan-512. It had huge memory (128kb was standard, but this one had 512Kb). They also integrated HDD, Real time clock, Light pen, Mouse and made researches for integration this computer into car. I made a lot of things: games were translated to Russian, music was added, music-demos were created. I found just one link about me though https://www.zxaaa.net/view_demo.php?id=8715 :-) Really I was shy about cracking games and never used real name, so maybe they are exist somewhere.

But time is going forward and in some time ZX-Spectrum was obsolete. And IBM-compatible were not so powerfull but expensive. So, I sold ZX-Spectrum and bought IBM-386 SX-25 (we bought together with classmate really). With B/W monitor and withouth HDD. It was 1993-1994 year. And that comp was really poor. So I sold everything and was free...

I even found a wife... :-)

But in 1996 there was second attempt and we bought Pentium-166 MMX with Windows 95. There was even CD-Rom, but brother exchanged it to modem. I was angry... :-)

In 1999 my university time was near end end was necessary to make a diploma. I made application on O'Basic 97. Then one more, for a job agency. And then I cannot stop anymore... :-) But unfortunately I moved to program management and testing in about 2003-2004 year. And "lost wave" as programmer. But we have got a daughter.

Okay, but it was too boring and I decided to return back to programming. I have finished professional programming "VC++ and MFC" course in 2005 year. I wanted C#, but it was so new and there were absent teachers. So I studied it myself in parallel. And found it very friendly and powerful. It was about 2005-2006 year, I did feel how strong am I ;-) but I did not have any portfolio. Then I made several projects (Eterio message board, Eterio CMS, Eterio shop, online music catalogue) and started to work part-time as freelancer. And then in 2007 year I found job in TOM company what produces industrial weighing machines. And I cannot stop from that time... :-)
