Railway carriages weighing machine, 2008-2011 y.
"ТОМ" company (http://tom.odessa.ua) produces weighing equipment for measure mass of railway carriages. These scales might be used in static or dynamic modes. Static mode requires to set carriage to weighing machine, wait until mass will be stabilized and measure mass of it. Dynamic mode allows to measure mass when train just moving through scales. Dynamic mode is not so precisious as static but much faster and good enough for ship-unloading mode. Program allows creating reports.
My participation:
partial participation. Application was developed earlier but significantly improved by me:
-specific versions of applications with different set of fields and reports were implemented by customer requests;
-report system was migrated from an expansive and obsolete Crystal Reports to OpenOffice format;
-adaptation to new railway laws and requirements;
-integration with HBM C16i digital mass sensor driver;
-critical fixes in mass measure algorithm in movement;
-improvement of dynamic mode. Now it allows to measure mass in movement and fill parameters of carriages immediately (carriage number, sender, recipient, etc). Before it was required to make step by step - only when whole train will be measured;
-integration with video recognition system (carriage's number recognition);
-integration with high level enterprise software for export data about mass of carriages;
- documentation development, programming, deployment, testing and debugging.
